Director of Programs at Stoneybrook Junior Golf Inc., Bobby Conway is originally from Brooksville, Florida and is in his fourth year of work as a PGM Apprentice at Stoneybrook. Bobby along with aspiring to become a PGA member is currently a senior majoring in Finance at Florida Gulf Coast University.
Bobby has been a crucial part of Stoneybrook Junior Golf Inc. the last four years, and has developed a reputation amongst the juniors as a fun and caring instructor. When it comes to teaching juniors Bobby believes in finding fun ways to teach the fundamentals in an enthusiastic and exciting environment. Bobby credits Jeff Nixon and Andy Scott with impacting and shaping his teaching philosophy.
Bobby is the proud owner of beagle named Ellie, and enjoys spending his free time rooting on his favorite sports team, the Florida Gators. Besides being an avid sports fan of the Gators, Buccaneers, and Rays; Bobby enjoys spending his free time doing just about anything that involves being around family and friends.
Hailing from Savage, Minnesota, Kristine started playing golf at the age of thirteen, crediting her parents for getting her involved in her local junior golf scene. She played competitively on the JV and Varsity High School team and in her junior year, Burnsville High School captured the Minnesota State Championship title.
Kristine went on to play NCAA Division III Golf for the University of Wisconsin-Stout. She competed all four years, and served as captain in her senior year of 2012. Kristine graduated with a double major: B.S. Golf Enterprise Management and B.S. Business Administration.
Upon graduation, Kristine began working at Whistling Straits in Kohler, WI and completed the PGA Apprenticeship Program. After half a year at Whistling Straits, she moved to Naples in October 2012, and has since worked at Vasari Country Club and West Bay Club. Kristine was elected to become a PGA Class “A” Professional in November 2015.
Kristine is currently the Head Varsity Golf Coach for the Girls’ Golf Team at Community School of Naples, and has coached two individuals to the State Finals in 2012 and 2016. She is also the Site Director the for LPGA/USGA Girls’ Golf Program.
Executive Director, Stoneybrook Certified PGA Professional
Jeff has been a pillar for golf instruction in southwest Florida for the past twenty years. Jeff is a graduate of Cape Coral High School and is certified class a member with the PGA of America. He has won multiple awards including the 2006 Teacher of the year, and the 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010 Presidents Award for growth of the game. Nixon was also named the 2012, 2013, and 2014 PGA Player Development Award recipient for the South Florida PGA, as well as the 2015 Junior Golf Leader For South Florida PGA. Along with the numerous awards Jeff has won, he recently became a Certified PGA Professional in the field of Teaching and Coaching.
Jeff has coached over a thousand students ranging from scratch players, beginners, juniors, and the disabled. Jeff’s unique ability is to be able to adapt to each student has served him well in the 10,000 plus lessons that he has given over the past twenty years. Jeff’s past experience allows him to be able to improve the golf game of anyone who is willing to commit to his instruction. He is always looking for new and innovative ways to make the game fun and exciting for all ages of juniors. Besides growing the game and mentoring the area’s youth; Jeff is an avid movie enthusiast and enjoys rooting on his beloved Georgia Bulldogs.
Fitness Consultant, TPI Certified Junior Coach
Darin Hovis is the founder and owner of Par 4 Fitness located in Naples, FL. Par 4 Fitness has helped thousands of southwest Florida golfers move better, feel better, and play better golf.
Darin is a BOC Certified and Florida licensed Athletic Trainer who graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University and is currently pursuing a doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from FGCU. He is also a Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Certified Level 3 Golf Medical and Fitness Professional as well as TPI certified Level 2 Junior and Power Coach. Darin optimizes swing biomechanics through K-Vest 3D technology.
He also holds certification through Boditrak Sports as a Golf Ground Mechanics Specialist. Darin is trained to treat musculoskeletal injuries obtained during sport and activity as well as provide athletes with strength & conditioning programs to reach optimal performance. Darin is also Full Body certified through Active Release Techniques which is considered a gold standard in soft tissue treatment.
Darin specializes in returning golfers to the course from injuries, helping avid amateurs swing more efficiently, and also works with some of the top up and coming players in the world! Current clients include CHAMPIONS Tour, Symetra Tour, Web.com Tour, PGA TOUR Latinoamerica, PGA TOUR Canada as well as Re/MAX World Long Drive Champions.
Darin also has an extensive golfing resume. He currently holds a 0.1 GHIN handicap index and plays several amateur events around Southwest Florida.
